What about a recipe for the lovely rhubarb you gave me, sprouting colourfully in a big pot?
As I can only use a little this year as it has to settle in, can you suggest an appropriate
taster? I’m all for economy – I started as a roomwife – bedsit with washbasin and single gas ring on which I produced two-course meals. The creative bit was making enough for two!

Thanks, Kathryn! I love my KitchenAid, and use it constantly. I’ll try to flag up when it’s particularly useful in my recipes. In the meantime, here’s one quick tip: use it to whip mashed potatoes, particularly if you’re doing a large batch. It gets rid of lumps fast, and by incorporating air, creates a fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth result. But do this at the very last minute, or you’ll need to reheat them to serve. Enjoy!

I do. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to try any of the recipes yet. I’ve been crazed lately, which is never a good state of mind for trying new recipes–I just fall back on the known and simple.
